Taegen Poles has the perfect name for a racecar driver. Poles are high on the list of things that racecar drivers strive for and Taegen is no different. With eyes set on a future in racing, she is pursuing her passion and is looking forward to her eighth season of karting having already claimed numerous race wins, podium finishes and championships.
As a member of Summit GP and based out of Mosport, Taegen will be driving in the Rotax Junior class on a Tony Kart chassis. She will be competing for a sixth season of regional racing in Ontario and Quebec and participating in her fifth Canadian National Championship.
This summer when not racing, Taegen will return as an instructor for KartSTART, a driver education program working with Toyota designed to give new drivers a clear understanding behind the physics and dynamics of driving a motorized vehicle in a closed course environment.
